Off the back of Take Me Dancing winning Best Music Video at the Sweden Film Awards, Luunah frontwoman Sarah-Beth performs the song on the Troubadour set.

An impressive feat for any band, but what seems like just another footnote for Luunah – a band flourishing in the Covid era.

However, it’s the Clonakilty native’s second performance, Like A River, that really resonates with me as a listener. A song that cannot be found on Luunah’s 2020 debut album.

An experienced pianist, Sarah glides through the first verse, gently builds momentum, and gracefully fills each space with a carefully considered note.

Silent crashes in my heart / Love’s a dangerous work of art / Pulls me deep I fall apart / Only we know where we are

Sarah-Beth’s final poignant words before transitioning into the chorus – a transition that readjusts the flow of the song in an unexpected and simultaneously very melodic manner.

Check out Luunah’s debut album now on all streaming platforms – you won’t be disappointed.
