After Jordan McCaughey reached out to Troubadour, James showed me Jordan’s set for the UCC Singer-Songwriters Final 2020. It was immediately obvious Jordan McCaughey put a lot of thought into his craft. Jordan McCaughey is a natural at exploring the guitar and finding an array of contrasting sounds.

Jordan McCaughey’s Troubadour set is only a glimpse of what Jordan McCaughey can create as a performer. Unsurprisingly, An Evaluation has gained great traction since being uploaded to the Troubadour Distillery Cork YouTube account.

Even better, Jordan McCaughey asked if he could use the Troubadour recordings on his own Spotify account. We hope this starts a trend of Troubadour artists using our recordings on Spotify and other platforms.

Like everyone else, Jordan can’t put any projects into action at the moment. The UCC student told us he’d like to record ‘a few humble enough EPs’, and continued:

‘The problem with recording and mastering your own music is you get really insecure. So I’m not sure what’ll happen.’
